Imation CEO Frank Russomanno to Address Content Delivery & Storage Association's Annual Media Market Intelligence Summit

Imation CEO Frank Russomanno to Address Content Delivery & Storage Association's Annual Media Market Intelligence Summit

OAKDALE, Minn., Dec. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Imation Corp. today announced that President and CEO Frank Russomanno will give the welcome address to the Content Delivery & Storage Association's (CDSA) Media Market Intelligence Summit. As CDSA chairman of the board and a leader in the industry, Russomanno will highlight association accomplishments and outline its vision for the future.

Scheduled for December 3-4 at the Marriott New York East Side, CDSA's landmark summit is expected to attract top senior executives in content delivery and storage for a one-of-a-kind conference of forecasts, analysis and commentary from competing market researchers on the future of physical media and the adoption of new electronic alternatives.

"The CDSA has an important role to play in helping the industry discuss, plan, and debate the issues around the explosion of content delivery and storage," said Frank Russomanno, "It is critical that the industry listen, hear, and respond to what our customers are telling us as new formats emerge, and that we are prepared to respond to new delivery and storage demands globally. Imation has been a long-time member of the CDSA, and is pleased to participate in the Media Market Intelligence Summit."

Russomanno's comments will reflect on the continued growth of both consumer and commercial content, and the need for the content delivery and storage industry to respond to changing customer needs, particularly in emerging economies like those of "BRIC" countries of Brazil, Russia, India and China.

Subodh Kulkarni, vice president of Imation's Global Commercial Business and R&D and Manufacturing, also will participate in the summit as a key panelist for the session, "The New Face of Entertainment Storage." A veteran in the industry, and holder of seven U.S. patents, he will provide insight on which storage technologies will become dominant; what roadmaps will sustain future growth for tape, optical, flash and hard disk products; and how storage companies are evolving into developers of consumer electronics products.

"With the advent of new consumer technologies and the expansion of the global marketplace for content delivery and storage products and services, CDSA is positioned to lead its members into an era where physical media will take on new applications and formats, while demands for storage for both commercial and consumer usage will reach unparalleled levels. We are honored to have an industry leader such as Frank Russomanno as our chairman, to guide us through the dynamic changes of this exciting, evolving new marketplace," says CDSA President, Charles Van Horn.
