ElasticHosts Win Best Cloud Service at the Cloud Computing World Series Awards

ElasticHosts have been named the "Best Cloud Service" at the Cloud Computing World Series Awards 2010.

The awards took place on the first day of the Cloud Computing World Forum and were judged by an independent panel of judges comprised of leading experts and commentators in the IT sector.

Richard Davies, CEO of ElasticHosts, said, "ElasticHosts is a pioneer in Cloud Computing. In 2008 we were one of the first cloud providers to launch in Europe, and have provided ultra-flexible and easy-to-use cloud servers ever since. We are delighted to have won the award for "Best Cloud Service", which recognises the enthusiasm that we hear from our customers every day."

"I have used many other cloud and virtual server solutions in the past." said Andrew Fear of Trana eCommerce Ltd, an ElasticHosts customer. "I was beginning to get frustrated with these providers and had been looking for alternatives for a while. Then I found ElasticHosts and I realized that I would be able to add a lot of flexibility for no extra cost. I now have quite a few servers with ElasticHosts. We can buy exactly the capacity that we need today and then scale it when we need more, which is a huge benefit and saves a lot of money. The best thing about ElasticHosts though, is being able to talk technical to someone who can talk technical back — a rare thing these days!"

Davies continues, "Going forward, we have just launched ElasticHosts in the US and become an intercontinental cloud. We have also launched the ElasticStack cloud platform which enables other service providers to swiftly offer own-brand cloud services from their own data centres, backed by our cutting-edge technology. We look forward to our award-winning cloud services reaching an ever increasing audience, both through ElasticHosts ourselves and via our ElasticStack platform partners."

Show Director, Mark Johnstone, announced that the quality of this year's entries was extremely high, and tough choices had to be made. "We are delighted with the number of organisations entering the awards this year" he said. "The quantity and quality of entries has been extremely high which can only be very positive for the future of business computing. Some very difficult decisions had to be made in choosing our winners for each category."
